04/11/03 - VINANDINO 2003. GOLD MEDAL FOR THE AUGUSTO P.

During the sixth edition of the international wine tasting contest VINANDINO 2003 that took place from September 30th to October 2nd in Mendoza Province, Augusto Pulenta winery won a gold medal for it’s wine Augusto P. 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon, being the only wine from the province of San Juan to be distinguished among the 16 gold medals and three great gold medals awarded to argentine wines. At the same time, our winery was awarded a silver medal for the Valbona Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2001. These pleasant news show the successful reconversion process that is taking place in San Juan’s wine industry.

03/10/03 - AUGUSTO P. NEW HARVEST

During september 2003 the new harvest 2001 of our top wine AUGUSTO P. was released to the market. This new harvest is a limited production of 9987 bottles, vinified with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes harvested from a 3200 vines parcel, managed with special care through pruning and selection of grapes in our Finca Doña Filomena vineyard, at the foot of the Andes mountains. These grapes were hand-picked during a bright night of the third week of march 2001. Matured in french and american oak casks during 12 months, oak maduration provides singular complexity and a great ageing potential in bottle. Intense, well-balanced and rounded. To be enjoyed from now on.
